Our Cat decided to get out one night while the inlaws were in for a visit. Well, she came home pregnant. 64 days later after her night out on the town, she gave birth to 4 little kitties. They are all so cute. The kittens are now 1 week old. The girls know that we cannot keep them, but that they could name the kittens. We have Stripes, Ashley, Blackie, and Bob (courtesy of Bob himself, lmao). They are all very healthy and will be ready to go right about Christmas time. So, I will be looking for homes for these little kitties soon.

Saturday Morning, Hubby and I took the girls to go and get some shopping done. We started at Walmart. While I was looking at all the Christmas decorations, hubby took the girls to check out the toys. I came across these little Christmas trees for $0.94, so I grabbed one of each of the 3 colours. I also managed to find some mini ornaments as well. The girls had a blast spending the afternoon decorationg their own trees. I think the whole project cost under $20. Not bad for a little fun!

Linguine Alfredo with Prosciutto Ham and Mushrooms

This is definitely not heart healthy at all.

Cook your pasta of choice!

Alfredo Sauce:

2 cups of whipping cream

1 cup of Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg

1 clove of garlic diced

1 tbsp of butter

salt and pepper to taste

Place your butter in a sauce pan, add the garlic, cook till tender. Pour in whipping cream, add Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook on medium heat and stir constantly.

For the mushrooms, I slice them up and fry them in some bacon fat and garlic, till nicely browned. Then, I add the prosciutto ham, cooking till warm.

Place your pasta in a bowl, add the ham and mushrooms, add the Alfredo sauce, top with Parmesan cheese and chives!

Well it has been busy here yet again. Work being the #1 culprit. I love my job. Driving kids and adults around daily. I have recently applied and recieved the job of Part-time Charter Driver with the school bus company. Needless to say I am quite busy from 6:45am till about 4pm(some evenings too). All is good there.

Miss Bella recently had surgery at the ACH. She had her adinoids removed and tubes put in her ears. Wow, what a difference. She can hear!! She still snores, which may be attributed to her tonsils. She was in very good spirits going into the hospital. I explained everything that she would have happen to her while there, I don’t even think she really understood. Her big sister let her take her build-a-bear with her. She was so happy about that. Here is a photo of the little munchkin before surgery.

I was worried at one point while she was in for surgery. She was gone for 2 and a half hours, I started to panic. She was only suppose to be in for 1 hour total. Found out later that she was not waking up from the narcotics, and that she was having trouble breathing. She ended up being on oxegen for about 5 hours. We were at the hospital for a total of 12 hours, it was a very long day. She is doing awesome now!
